DBCO-Maleimide combines a thiol-reactive maleimide group with a DBCO moiety used in copper-free click chemistry. Reaction of the maleimide with thiols forms thioether bonds, providing a route to introduce DBCO into cysteine-containing peptides and other thiol-bearing biomolecules.
