Sulfo DBCO-Maleimide is a water-soluble reagent combining a thiol-reactive maleimide group with a DBCO moiety for copper-free click chemistry. The maleimide reacts with sulfhydryl groups to form stable thioether bonds, allowing DBCO incorporation into cysteine-containing peptides and other thiol-bearing biomolecules.
Its compact structure introduces a short spacer between the modified biomolecule and the DBCO group. This combination supports sequential thiol conjugation and click chemistry workflows.
