Biotin-PEG4-Dde-TAMRA-PEG3-Azide is a trifunctional probe combining a biotin affinity tag, a fluorescent TAMRA dye and an azide group within a cleavable spacer architecture. It is used in affinity-based assays to support recovery of avidin-bound protein complexes.
The spacer contains a hydrazine-cleavable Dde moiety. Treatment with 2% aqueous hydrazine under mild conditions cleaves this site, separating the biotin tag and its bound avidin conjugate from the remaining probe. The reagent is soluble in DMSO, DMF and has a listed purity of 90%.
