PC Biotin-PEG8-NHS carbonate ester is a photocleavable PEG linker for attaching biotin to amine-containing biomolecules. Its hydrophilic PEG arm helps increase the aqueous solubility of labeled molecules, while the photocleavable functionality allows captured biomolecules to be released with low-intensity near-UV illumination, such as a 365 nm lamp at 1-5 mW/cm2.
Listed among cleavable biotin PEG reagents, the compound is soluble in DMSO, DCM, DMF and has a molecular weight of 1061.2.
