PC-Biotin-PEG4-NHS carbonate is a photocleavable biotin reagent for attaching a biotin moiety to amine-containing biomolecules. Its NHS carbonate group reacts with primary amines to form a carbamate linkage, supporting its placement in the Cleavable Biotin and Photocleavable Linkers categories.
Captured biomolecules can be released by near-UV illumination, with a 365 nm lamp at 1-5 mW/cm2 given as an example. The reagent is soluble in DMSO, DCM, DMF and has a specified storage temperature of -20°C.
