(S)-C12-200 (solution in ethanol) is an ethanol solution of an ionizable cationic lipid with pKa = 7.12. This isomer of C12-200 is used to formulate lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for in vivo mRNA delivery.
In Ai14 mice, intravenous administration of LNPs containing this lipid and Cre recombinase mRNA produced a higher percentage of tdTomato+ hepatocytes, endothelial cells, and Kupffer cells in the liver than LNPs containing (R)-C12-200 and Cre mRNA. The specified storage temperature is -20°C.
