Sulfo-Cy7.5 alkyne is a sulfonated near-infrared cyanine dye containing a rigidized trimethylene chain and a terminal propargyl group. Its structure closely resembles indocyanine green, with the rigidized structure supporting an improved quantum yield. The propargyl group reacts with azide-bearing compounds to form stable triazole rings, enabling click chemistry labeling. The dye is soluble in water, DMSO and DMF and has a molecular weight of 1120.5.
