GSK699 is a PROTAC degrader that induces proteasome-dependent degradation of KAT2A/B, also designated GCN5/PCAF. It regulates histone acetyltransferase activity in the SAGA complex and lowers histone H3K9ac levels, supporting research into protein degradation and histone acetylation.
Reported cellular effects include inhibition of neuroblastoma, acute myeloid leukemia and small cell lung cancer cell growth. GSK699 also reduces inflammatory cytokine and chemokine production and impairs LPS-stimulated immune cell responses, making it relevant to research on these cancers and inflammatory diseases.
