Azido-PEG8-CH2CO2H is a water-soluble PEG linker bearing azide and terminal carboxylic acid groups for click chemistry and amine coupling. The hydrophilic PEG spacer promotes solubility in aqueous media. The azide reacts with alkyne, BCN or DBCO groups to produce a stable triazole linkage, while the carboxylic acid couples with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form a stable amide bond.
