Azido-PEG4-CH2CO2H combines an azide group and a terminal carboxylic acid in a PEG linker for click chemistry. The hydrophilic spacer increases aqueous solubility. Click reactions of the azide with alkyne partners, including BCN and DBCO, produce a stable triazole linkage. The carboxylic acid provides a separate coupling site for primary amines when used with activators such as EDC or HATU.
