Azido-Phenyl-Amido-S-S-Sulfo-NHS is a water-soluble crosslinker combining a photoactivatable aryl azide, a sulfo-NHS ester and a cleavable disulfide bond. UV light at 250 to 350 nm activates the aryl azide for biomolecule conjugation, while the sulfo-NHS ester supports aqueous solubility and reaction with nucleophiles in labeling applications. Reducing agents can cleave the disulfide bond, providing a reducible connection between conjugated components.
