Tetra-sulfo-Cy7 DBCO is a hydrophilic, water-soluble near-IR fluorescent probe in the DBCO cyanine labeling range. Described as bright and photostable, it is used in assays where low nonspecific binding is important. Its fluorescence is pH insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10, and its long-wavelength spectral region is associated with low biological autofluorescence. The fluorescence is not visible to the human eye but can be detected with imaging systems.
