Edelfosine is a synthetic lysophospholipid analog listed in the phospholipid and phosphate categories. It inhibits phosphatidylinositol phospholipase C (IC50=9.6 μM) and acts as a PAF receptor agonist. It is also reported to induce apoptosis preferentially in tumor cells.
