Mal-amido-PEG2-NHS combines a maleimide group and an NHS ester in a PEG linker. The NHS ester labels primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. The maleimide reacts with thiol groups to form covalent bonds, providing a separate attachment route for thiol-bearing biomolecules.
