Mal-amido-PEG4-NHS combines a maleimide group and an NHS ester through a hydrophilic PEG spacer that increases solubility in aqueous media. The NHS ester labels primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules, while the maleimide reacts with thiols to form covalent bonds. These two reactive groups enable coupling between amine- and thiol-bearing biomolecules. The linker is soluble in DCM, DMF and has a listed purity of 95%.
