Methylamino-PEG4-t-butyl ester combines a methylamine functionality and a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group through a hydrophilic PEG spacer that increases solubility in aqueous media. The methylamine group supports reactions with carboxylic acids and carbonyl compounds, including ketones and aldehydes.
