Mal-amido-PEG6-TFP ester is a bifunctional PEG linker with maleimide and TFP ester groups for reaction with thiols and primary amines, respectively. The maleimide reacts with thiols between pH 6.5 and 7.5, while the TFP ester is less susceptible to hydrolysis than an NHS ester. The hydrophilic PEG6 chain increases aqueous solubility.
