iFSP1 is a selective, glutathione-independent inhibitor of ferroptosis suppressor protein 1 (FSP1), also designated AIFM2, with an EC50 of 103 nM. It selectively induces ferroptosis in GPX4-knockout cells overexpressing FSP1 and can sensitize a variety of human cancer cell lines to ferroptosis inducers such as (1S,3R)-RSL3. These activities support its use in research examining FSP1-associated ferroptosis suppression.
