BAZ2-ICR is a small-molecule inhibitor of the BAZ2A and BAZ2B bromodomains with reported cellular and oral activity. It inhibits BAZ2A with Kd = 109 nM and IC50 = 130 nM, and BAZ2B with Kd = 170 nM and IC50 = 180 nM. Reported selectivity exceeds >100-fold over a range of other bromodomains.
BAZ2A participates in the nucleolar remodeling complex involved in silencing ribosomal RNA transcription, while BAZ2B is believed to regulate nucleosome mobilization along DNA.
