NH2-PEG8-CH2CH2COOtBu is a PEG linker containing an amino group and a t-butyl-protected carboxyl group for bioconjugation applications. The amino group supports coupling with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Acidic conditions can remove the t-butyl protection to expose the carboxyl group.
