NH2-PEG2-CH2CH2COOtBu is a monodisperse, heterobifunctional PEG linker with an amino group and a tert-butyl-protected carboxyl group. The amino terminus provides a reaction site for carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Acidic conditions can remove the tert-butyl protection to expose the carboxyl group for subsequent modification. The compound is included in the ADC linker and amine-functional PEG catalog categories.
