- Description
Mal-amido-PEG8-acid is a PEG linker with a maleimide group and a terminal carboxylic acid, providing two distinct sites for conjugation. The maleimide reacts with thiol groups to covalently attach thiol-bearing biomolecules. With an activator such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid reacts with primary amines to form a stable amide bond. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media.
