Picolyl azide-PEG2-NHS ester is a bifunctional PEG linker for click chemistry and amine conjugation. Its picolyl azide group chelates copper, increasing the local concentration of Cu(I) and supporting faster CuAAC reactions with reduced copper catalyst requirements compared with conventional azides. The NHS ester reacts with primary amines to form covalent amide bonds, while the PEG2 spacer increases water solubility.
