E12CA1A3 (solution in ethanol) contains an ionizable cationic lipid with pKa = 6.4, used in lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations for mRNA delivery in vitro and in vivo. Reporter mRNA formulations have produced luciferase expression in mouse bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs) and live mice. In mice, E12CA1A3-based LNPs have also shown faster liver clearance than DLin-MC3-DMA-based LNPs.
