BP Fluor 594 Alkyne is a red-fluorescent probe for labeling and imaging azide-containing biomolecules. Its alkyne group reacts with azides through copper-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC), producing a stable triazole linkage. It belongs to the alkyne reagent category within Click Chemistry.
The dye has absorption and emission maxima at 590 and 617 nm, respectively, and can be used with 561 nm and 594 nm laser lines. Its fluorescence is pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10. Listed solvents are water, DMSO and DMF; the specified storage temperature is -20°C.
