BP Fluor 405 Alkyne is a blue-fluorescent dye used in multicolor research applications, including flow cytometry and STORM super-resolution microscopy. It is soluble in water, DMSO and DMF, with excitation suited to the 407 nm krypton laser line or a 408 nm violet laser diode.
Its alkyne group reacts with azides through copper-catalyzed click chemistry (CuAAC), producing a stable triazole linkage for fluorescent labeling.
