t-butyl acetate-PEG2-CH2COOH is a PEG linker with a terminal carboxylic acid and an acid-deprotectable t-butyl group. In the presence of an activator such as HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple with primary amines to form a stable amide bond. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The product is included in the acid-PEG-t-butyl ester range.
