Boc-7-Aminoheptanoic acid is an aliphatic linker for PROTAC synthesis and other conjugation applications. Its alkane chain bears a terminal carboxylic acid and a Boc-protected amino group, providing two distinct sites for sequential chemical modification.
The carboxylic acid can couple with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form an amide bond. Mild acidic conditions can remove the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine for subsequent conjugation.
