Fmoc-PEG2-NHS ester is a PEG linker with an Fmoc-protected amine and an NHS ester, providing two functional handles for conjugation. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports solubility in aqueous media. The NHS ester enables labeling of primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules. Basic deprotection removes the Fmoc group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation steps.
