Fmoc-PEG3-NHS ester is a PEG linker with an Fmoc-protected amine and an NHS ester. The NHS ester reacts with primary amines (-NH2), enabling labeling of proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-containing molecules.
Basic conditions remove the Fmoc group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases aqueous solubility. Supplied at 98% purity, the compound is soluble in DMSO, DCM, DMF and is stored at -20°C.
