TR azide, 5-isomer is an azide-functionalized derivative of the red fluorescent dye TR (Texas Red) for click chemistry conjugation. It reacts with terminal alkynes through copper-catalyzed click chemistry or with strained cyclooctynes through a copper-free reaction. The TR dye is used in cell staining, fluorescence microscopy, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, quantitative RT-PCR and cellular assays.
