- Description
BP Fluor 488 Propyl azide is a hydrophilic fluorescent labeling reagent with an absorption maximum at 495 nm and an emission maximum at 519 nm. Its fluorescence is pH-insensitive from 4 to 10, and it is soluble in Water, DMF, DMSO.
The azide reacts with terminal alkynes using a copper (I) catalyst or with cyclooctynes without a catalyst, forming stable adducts. It can introduce fluorescent labels into proteins, antibodies and other molecules. Bright, photostable conjugates support applications in flow cytometry and microscopy.
