UBQ-3 DBCO is a dark quencher whose polyaromatic-azo backbone provides no native emission. Its broad, intense quenching range of 620-730 nm supports use as an acceptor in fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) studies with orange to far-red emitting dyes. A terminal DBCO group enables strain-promoted, copper-free click chemistry.
