SY-7 DBCO is a nonfluorescent quencher for preparing peptide and oligonucleotide fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) probes. Its broad quenching range of 500-600 nm supports use with fluorescent dyes at 520 nm to 600 nm, including Fluorescein, Cy3, TAMRA and ROX.
The DBCO group reacts with azides through copper-free click chemistry to produce a stable triazole, without a copper catalyst or elevated temperatures. This provides a conjugation route for applications where copper is a concern. The product is soluble in DMSO and DMF and has a listed storage temperature of -20°C.
