Sulfo DBCO-PEG4-UBQ-2 combines the non-emissive dark quencher UBQ-2, which has a polyaromatic-azo backbone, with a hydrophilic PEG spacer. It quenches fluorescence in the 560-670 nm range for qPCR probes and FRET applications involving orange to far-red dyes. The DBCO group enables copper-free click chemistry, and the sulfo group enhances water solubility.
