t-Boc-N-amido-PEG4-acid is a PEG linker with a terminal carboxylic acid and a Boc-protected amino group. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports increased solubility in aqueous media. With activators such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to produce a stable amide bond. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protection to expose the free amine, providing another site for subsequent functionalization.
