t-Boc-N-amido-PEG6-acid is a PEG linker combining a terminal carboxylic acid with a Boc-protected amino group. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports increased solubility in aqueous media. With an activator such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to produce a stable amide bond. Mild acidic treatment removes the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine, providing a separate functional handle for subsequent coupling.
