t-Boc-N-amido-PEG28-acid is a bifunctional PEG linker with a terminal carboxylic acid and a Boc-protected amino group. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports increased solubility in aqueous media. With an activator such as HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to produce a stable amide bond. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine, providing a separate functional group for subsequent coupling.
