t-Boc-N-amido-PEG1-CH2CO2H is a PEG linker bearing a terminal carboxylic acid and a Boc-protected amino group. The hydrophilic spacer supports aqueous solubility. With an activator such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to produce a stable amide bond. Treatment under mild acidic conditions removes the Boc group, revealing the free amine.
