t-Boc-N-amido-PEG2-CH2CO2H is a PEG linker combining a terminal carboxylic acid with a Boc-protected amino group. The hydrophilic PEG spacer contributes to solubility in aqueous media. With an activator such as EDC or HATU, the carboxylic acid can couple to primary amines to form an amide bond. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine.
