TCO-PEG12-NHS ester is an amine-reactive PEG linker used to introduce a TCO moiety onto antibodies, proteins and other macromolecules bearing primary amines. Its linear PEG12 spacer supports water solubility and reduces steric hindrance during ligation, connecting the NHS ester functionality with the TCO handle for click chemistry applications.
The TCO group can isomerize to CCO (cis-cycloctene), resulting in loss of reactivity; long-term storage is therefore not recommended. The listed storage temperature is -20°C, and the reagent has a purity of 95%.
