tert-Butyl (11-aminoundecyl)carbamate is an aliphatic linker with a free terminal amine and a Boc-protected amino group. It is used in PROTAC synthesis and other conjugation applications. The free amine provides a reaction site for carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Mild acidic conditions can remove the Boc protecting group to expose the second amine.
