tert-Butyl (12-aminododecyl)carbamate is an aliphatic linker used in PROTAC synthesis. Its alkane chain carries a terminal amine and a Boc-protected amino group, providing distinct sites for chemical modification. The free amine can react with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, and carbonyl compounds such as ketones and aldehydes. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protecting group to expose the second amine.
