AMCA-PEG8-Azide is a blue fluorescent reagent for protein and peptide labeling through azide-based click chemistry. It reacts with terminal alkynes under copper-catalyzed conditions or with strained cyclooctynes without copper. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports increased water solubility and conjugation efficiency.
The dye has a maximal absorption of 345 nm and emission at 450 nm. Supplied at 98% purity, it has a molecular formula of C30H47N5O11 and a molecular weight of 653.7. Listed solvents are DMSO, DCM, DMF, ACN; storage is -20°C.
