t-Boc-N-amido-PEG8-NHS ester combines an NHS ester with a Boc-protected amino group on a hydrophilic PEG spacer. The NHS ester supports labeling of primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules. Mild acidic conditions can remove the Boc protecting group to expose a free amine.
