t-Boc-N-amido-PEG16-NHS ester combines an NHS ester with a Boc-protected amino group on a hydrophilic PEG spacer. The NHS ester supports labeling of primary amines (-NH2) on proteins, amine-modified oligonucleotides and other amine-bearing molecules. Mild acidic conditions remove the Boc protecting group to expose the free amine.
