Fmoc-N-amido-PEG36-acid is a PEG linker with an Fmoc-protected amine and a terminal carboxylic acid. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer supports increased solubility in aqueous media. Basic conditions remove the Fmoc protecting group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation. The carboxylic acid provides a separate coupling site, forming a stable amide bond with primary amines when activated with reagents such as EDC or HATU.
