Fmoc-N-amido-PEG9-acid is a PEG linker with an Fmoc-protected amine and a terminal carboxylic acid. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. Basic conditions remove the Fmoc protecting group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation.
The carboxylic acid can couple with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form a stable amide bond. Listed at 98% purity, this linker is soluble in DMSO, DCM and DMF and has a storage temperature of -20°C.
