Fmoc-N-amido-PEG10-acid is a PEG linker bearing an Fmoc-protected amine and a terminal carboxylic acid. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. Basic conditions remove the Fmoc protecting group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation.
The carboxylic acid terminus can couple with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form a stable amide bond. This linker is included in both the Fmoc PEG and PEG Acid catalog groups and has a specified purity of 98%.
