Fmoc-N-amido-PEG2-acid is a PEG linker with an Fmoc-protected amine and a terminal carboxylic acid. Its hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. Basic deprotection removes the Fmoc group to expose a free amine for subsequent conjugation.
The carboxylic acid terminus can couple with primary amines using activators such as EDC or HATU to form a stable amide bond. This linker is cataloged in both the Fmoc PEG and PEG Acid groups.
